The chairman of a parliamentary commission of Nicaragua charged that the deposed Honduran president Manuel Zelaya Rosales plans to arm groups of the support of the Government of Venezuela to attack the new government of Roberto Micheletti.
The president of the Peace Commission of the National Assembly, the Liberal Maximino Rodriguez said in statements to Channel 2 television that local Zelaya alleged plans to launch the attack from the Nicaraguan town of Ocotal, 225 kilometers north of Managua.
"Zelaya's strategy is to stay in Ocotal, and President Hugo Chávez will provide resources to arming the insurgency that he called for attacking Michelleti in the Interim Government," said Rodriguez, a deputy from the Liberal Constitutionalist Party bloc ( PLC).
According to the opposition legislator, which is why supporters of the Nicaraguan President, Daniel Ortega, not many people want to come to Ocotal, a town located 25 kilometers from the border with Honduras, to hide what they are doing.
